Does Snapchat need a phone number, or is an email enough?
Either one works at sign-up in most countries. The app tends to show the phone screen first with a link to sign up with email instead, and the web version asks for email outright. Snapchat mails a code to confirm the address. Later, a phone may be requested during a security check or when you enable login verification by text, and no email substitutes for that.
Why does Snapchat ask for my birthday before the email?
