How the TikTok sign-up sheet works
Tap the profile icon in the app, or Sign up on tiktok.com, and TikTok shows a sheet with options like Use phone or email, Continue with Google, Apple, or Facebook. Choose the first one. TikTok asks for your birthday before anything else, because users under 13 get a limited experience or no account, depending on the country. Then two tabs appear: Phone and Email. Switch to Email, type the address, and set a password.
Before it mails anything, TikTok shows a slider puzzle where you drag a piece into place. Only after that does a six-digit code go out. Enter the code, pick a username, and you are in. No phone is asked for at this stage in most regions, though TikTok may prompt for one later during a security check or a suspicious login.
